This table contains thumbnail images and information about some common herbaceous flowering plants in middle Tennessee.  The list originated from the combined flowering plant lists of Radnor Lake State Natural Area and Warner Parks in Nashville.   Tennessee cedar glade species filtered from Baskin JM, E Quarterman, and C Caudle 1968. "Preliminary Check-list of the Herbaceous Vascular Plants of Cedar Glades". J. TN Acad. of Sci. 43:65-71 that were not already included in the list and other observed species were added. 

Where synonyms of scientific names occur, the nomenclature of the USDA Plants Database is followed.  The page numbers refer to Carman, Jack B. 2001. Wildflowers of Tennessee.  Highland Rim Press, Tullahoma, TN.  Numbers with no decimal were not observed, or were observed in a month after the month listed in the literature.  Where decimals occur, the date is the first observation.  The first digit of the blooming date represents the month and the digit after the decimal represents the week within the month.
